HOMEWORK!!! for TUESDAY 1ST SEPTEMBER

Hi Girls!

Please remember to practice the dialogues with your partner!
Be able to present the dialogues next class WITHOUT your notebooks!
The presentations will be graded.

 Here again some EXAMPLES AND IDEAS of how to structure a dialogue:


Como presentarse ( How to introduce yourself): 

A: Hi! My name is Dayana. Nice to meet you. ( Un gusto conocerte)
B: Hello! My name is Andrea. Nice to meet you, too. ( too= tambien)

A: Where are you from? (De donde eres)?
B: I am from.... ( Yo soy de...)
A: Where do you live? ( Donde vives?)
B: I live in Medellin. ( yo vivo en Medellin)

Hablar de la edad (Talk about the Age):

A: How old are you?
B: I am sixteen years old. (Tengo 16 años) What about you? ( Y tu que?)
A: I am fifteen years old ( Tengo 15 años)

Hablar de la familia ( Talk about the family)

- What do your parents do? (que hacen tus padres?)
- How many brothers and sisters do you have? (Cuantos hermanos y hermanas tienes?)
-Are you the oldest? (Eres la mayor?)

Hablar de los hobbies ( Talk about your hobbies) 

-What is your hobby?
-What are your hobbies?
-What is your favorite sport?
-What do you do in your freetime? (Que haces en tu tiempo libre?)


Hablar de la ocupaciòn (Talk about occupations)

- What do you do? (Tu que haces?)
-Do you study? ( Estudias?)
-Where do you study? (Donde estudias?)
-What do you work? (Que trabajas?)

Carl: Hi. My name's Carl. Nice to meet you.
Pancho: Nice to meet you, too. My name is Francisco.
Carl: What?
Pancho: Francisco, but all my (1) and family back in Peru call me Pancho.
Carl: Okay, Pancho. So, (2) me about your family?
Pancho: Well, I have (3) brothers and six sisters.
Carl: Wow. That is a (4) family. So are you the oldest, Pancho?
Pancho: No. I'm the second oldest in my family.
Carl: So, what do your (5) do?
Pancho: My father is a (6) driver in Lima, Peru. It's a hard job, but he works hard to (7) the family.
Carl: How about your mother?
Pancho: She helps (8) a small family store with some of my older brothers and sisters.
Carl: What kind of store?
Pancho: We (9) sell food, like bread, eggs, soft drinks, rice, sugar, and cookies. Things that people (10) every day.
